SENIOR WRITER
OOSS Media is seeking a Senior Writer to be our lead writer and provide oversight of the writing team. Responsibilities include pitching concepts, managing a team of junior and freelance writers and creating scripts. An obsessive interest in martial arts and internet culture is a must and proficiency in creating engaging digital content on social media platforms, primarily YouTube. This role reports to the Editor in Chief.
The Candidate
- Prolific writer for social video content, primarily YouTube

- Aware of cultural trends in both the media and martial arts space
- Ability to use data to pitch concepts, show titles, and content that will capture audiences.
- Able to assign topics and lead a team of JR writers to produce engaging and relevant content

- Experience managing remote team members
- A strong background or interest in martial arts or education writing a major plus
- Deep understanding of what works and resonates on social platforms and an understanding of data/analytics to inform and iterate concepts.
The Job
- Ensure overall adherence to brand tone
- Manage a team of writers
- Edit, revise, and iterate concepts and scripts
- Come up with show concepts and pitch them
- Experience sourcing, establishing and maintaining relationships with freelance writers
- Ability to execute creative strategy

The Experience
- 4+ years (or equivalent) in video production, broadcasting, television, or similar discipline
- 2+ years of management experience
- 1-3 years relevant experience creating social-first videos
- Published examples of existing writing or video content that you wrote.
- Proven track record in content writing leading large teams with high output
- Examples of work that shows a knowledge of social platforms and a history of growing audiences.
- Familiarity with content optimization and best practices
- Understanding of cultural trends in media and martial arts culture and ability to adjust insights and creative accordingly

JUNIOR WRITER
OOSS Media is seeking a Junior writer to provide overall support to the Senior Writer. Responsibilities include research, pitching concepts, and executing copy for new media content.This position reports to the Senior Writer.
The Candidate

- Ability to thoroughly research and fact check a concept, present and format research that can be used in a script

SOCIAL MEDIA MANAGER
OOSS Media is seeking a Channel manager (social media manager) to oversee and admin across our social media accounts. You will be responsible for the oversight of post scheduling and deadlines, management of copywriting, correspondence with online community/followers, and crafting basic content.
Your primary duties will include content strategy, proofreading and editing, analyzing readership data, and developing our content strategy.

The Job
- Create, schedule, and launch posts on Facebook, Tiktok, Instagram, YouTube, and other social platforms (Update social media content across all channels)
- Oversee community moderations across social platforms
- Design and implement social media strategy that align with company strategies and brand guidelines
- Generate, edit, publish, and share engaging content daily (e.g. original text, photos, videos and news)
- Collaborate with other teams such as: marketing, sales, creatives, to insure brand consistency
- Maintain organic and regular correspondence with community and followers.
- Posting content across social media accounts
- Being up to date on the latest social media trends
- Work within brand design guidelines and iterate and improve

The Experience
- 4+ years as a working social media manager
- 2+ years of experience in video production environments
- Experience in apparel design a plus
- Working knowledge of motion graphics a plus
- Bachelor's or master's degree in marketing or a related field.
- Proven working experience in digital marketing, particularly within the industry.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience in creating social media strategies

EDITOR
OOSS Media is seeking a motivated and savvy editor to join our Los Angeles Post-Production team in a project-based capacity with a potential for a full time position in the near future. You will work with a team of writers and designers as well as Creative Producers and our Post-Production team, to develop and edit compelling and engaging content for our audience. This is an exciting opportunity for a creative and motivated individual who is able to work in a fast-paced environment, to become an integral part of a fast-paced and dynamic team.

The Job
- Create edits for weekly video series to be distributed across multiple channels on social media

- Stay super organized in and adhere to internal SOPs for project naming conventions

- Translate all feedback into actionable suggestions and solutions.

The Experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in film, video production, or related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of professional experience as a video editor, preferably in a digital-first environment.
- Relevant portfolio of previous video editing work.
- Strong understanding of video editing software, including Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe After Effects, and DaVinci Resolve a plus
- Technical knowledge of aspect ratios, file formats, codecs, and delivery specs.
- Familiarity with minor color correction and audio mixing.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain a consistent aesthetic throughout projects.
